Adding the Edict Systems Certificate Authority as a trusted root certificate authority:

The following instructions are for Microsoft Windows, and you must have administrative rights. Contact the Edict Systems Infrastructure Team if you require additional assistance.

  1. Download the Trusted Root Certificate Installer
  2. Launch the installer, and then click Next
  3. Choose Add Edict Systems Root CA..., and click Next

  4. Finally, click Execute to install the certificate, then Finish to quit
Manual configuration (Advanced Users)
  1. Download the Certificate Authority Public Key
  2. Launch the Microsoft Management Console. Press the Windows+R keys to open the Run Dialog, type mmc.exe, and press enter:

  3. x When the Console window appears, chose Add/Remove snap-in... from the File menu:

  4. Select Certificates from the list of available snap-ins, and click Add:

  5. Select Computer account, and click Next:

  6. Select Local computer, and click Finish:

  7. Click OK to close the Add or Remove Snap-ins window.
  8. In the Management Console, double-click on Certificates (Local Computer), right-click on Trusted Root Certification Authorities, select All Tasks, and click on Import...

  9. Click Next in the Certificate Import Wizard:

  10. Select/Specify the certificate you downloaded in step 1 and click Next:

  11. Import the certificate into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities certificate store (should be the default). Click Next:

  12. A summary page is displayed. Click Finish to complete the wizard.
  13. A security warning may be displayed similar to the one below. If it appears, click Yes:

  14. The certificate should be imported successfully.

  15. The process is complete. You may close the Management Console and delete the Certificate Authority Public Key file that you downloaded.
